Padova hosted traditionally teams club champions in men sabre

Only 8 teams participated in last but one tournament of European Cup of Club Champions in men sabre.
The winner came from Italy, C.S Fiamme Gial who defeated in the final match C.S. Dinamo Bucharest (ROU), whilst the third place went to the team Fiamme Oro (ITA) who won against Souffel Escrime (FRA).
