On December 14–15, 2024, Riga hosted the Riga Christmas Cup, a thrilling stage of the U14 European Circuit. Young fencing talents from across Europe gathered to compete in men’s and women’s foil, delivering outstanding performances and showcasing the bright future of the sport. 

Men’s Foil 

Dominik Juras from Lithuania claimed the gold medal, defeating Krzysztof Kotlowski of Poland, who secured silver. The bronze medals were awarded to Max Koster from Germany and Vedat Tuna Karalar from Turkey. 

Women’s Foil 

Olivia Johnson from Great Britain won the gold medal, with Sofiia Garanina from Cyprus taking silver. The bronze medals were shared by Sofija Belaja from Latvia and Philippa Lalor from Great Britain. 

The tournament in Riga marked a vibrant conclusion to the 2024 calendar for the U14 European Circuit, highlighting the potential of young fencers destined to shine on the global stage.
